A stunning late October day which almost hit 20 degrees C. It was just a shame the fog lingered for so long as it made birding up until around midday pretty tricky. The 51 Spoonbill on the Brownsea Lagoon were just about identifiable on the Brownsea webcam. In Middlebere 2 Merlin were bombing up and down the channel and 3 Marsh Harrier were moving between Middlebere and the Wareham Channel. Male White-tailed Eagle G463 was also in the Wareham Channel and this morning 3 Bearded Tit were ringed in Lytchett Bay. The building flock of Avocet in Holes Bay are now roosting and feeding in the NE sector with c30 there today, but could reach c200 by later in the year.
