Harbour Update – posted 12/11/21

A watch from Branksome Chine this morning reported 3 Gannet,  as well as 15 Common Scoter and 2 Long-tailed Duck heading across the bay towards Poole Harbour. At Holes Bay this afternoon 1460 Wigeon, 178 Teal, 108 Avocet, 58+ Dunlin and 1 Spotted Redshank were counted. The Red-breasted Merganser is still present in Poole Park, and 1 Sandwich Tern and 16 Brent Geese were seen in Parkstone Bay. 1 Water Pipit (colour ringed) was seen at Lytchett Fields this afternoon, and 1 Spoonbill was reported in Lytchett Bay. This morning, 1 ringtail Hen Harrier was seen in the Middlebere Channel.
