The early morning low tide brought an Osprey to the Wareham channel where it successfully caught a sizeable fish until a Greater Black-backed Gull managed to snatch it!
Lytchett Bay had great views of a Marsh Harrier, also Kingfisher, Hobby, 3 Spotted Redshank, 42 Redshank and 18 Greenshank. Three Spotted Redshank, 30 Redshank and 10 Greenshank also seen from Turlin Moor LNR where an adult White-tailed Eagle and a juvenile were seen.
The wader fest continued on Brownsea Island lagoon with 32 Avocet, 2 Grey Plover, 77 Ringed Plover, 2 Knot, 153 Dunlin, 1 Sanderling and 24 Spoonbill were feeding and roosting during the high tide.
The morning Osprey cruise had the unusual sight of 9 Spoonbill fly over the boat and views of both adult White-tailed Eagles.
