A really nice start to the day, but by lunch time it was a pretty strong south-westerly, which did nothing to aid the arrival of many migrants. Today mostly consisted of birds that had already arrived, such as the 24 Spoonbill on the Brownsea Lagoon, a Great White Egret was in Middlebere, a decent count of 22 Greenshank were on Lytchett Fields and later on the low-tide 2 Spotted Redshank were out in the bay and a few Osprey sightings were reported from Lytchett Fields, the Wareham Channel and Middlebere. A White-tailed Eagle flew over Lytchett Bay, a Red Kite was over the Wareham Channel and 2 Hobby were over Coombe Heath.
