BoPH launched Women in Conservation Dorset today, a network for women and non-binary conservationists. The day started with a bird boat in the harbour, with a highlights of 3 Common Scoter, 3 Marsh Harrier, and returning Dark-bellied Brent Geese and Red-breasted Merganser. It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to chat with one another and learn more about the fantastic nature recovery work happening locally. This afternoon, over 80 of us gathered to discuss the groups aims, targets, and ideas. It was wonderful to see everyone’s enthusiasm and positivity for the network – we can’t wait to see how it’s going to develop!
