A pretty miserable to venture out birding, and today’s sightings reflect that. However, quality birds are still for the finding… The ringtail Hen Harrier continues to kick around, with sightings across the west of the harbour. Holes Bay saw another increase in Avocet numbers, today peaking at 71. Other counts included 719 Wigeon, 30 Shoveler, 6 Pintail, 39+ Teal, 5 Shelduck. 500+ Black-tailed Godwit, 15 Curlew, as well as Knot, Redshank and Dunlin present.
