Harbour Update – 15/03/25

Despite the cold, chilly NE wind that built during the course of the day, 3 Little Ringed Plover were on the Lower Piddle Floods this morning, showing that migrants were making their way through. Also at Swineham were 5 Sand Martin and a few singing Common Chiffchaff. White-tailed Eagles were well represented again with 3 flying up the Middlebere Channel this morning, 2 circling over Sainsbury’s in Wareham and another one was seen over Bovington this afternoon. There were 2 Water Pipit reported at Swineham GP, 1 Spoonbill was also there and another 2 were in Middlebere.
