At Sandbanks a Purple Sandpiper was seen again on one of the rock groynes and 2 Great Northern Diver were out in Whitley Lake. Also there 1 Jack Snipe, 1 Cattle Egret, 1 Marsh Harrier, 1 Merlin, 4 Spoonbill, 1 Woodcock and 2 Green Sandpiper. Off Jerry’s Point there were 5 Great Northern Diver, 1 Slavonian Grebe, 3 Black-necked Grebe, 2 Long-tailed Duck, 4 Scaup, 2 Common Scoter and 19 Goldeneye with a Great White Egret on Furzey Island. The male Merlin came onto its favoured post at Middlebere this evening.
