Not as foggy this AM as forecast, but the birding was still a bit slow for a sunny Friday. Highlights included 2 redhead Goosander out in South Deep, Brownsea south shore, there were 32 Sandwich Tern on the posts at the East Dorset Sailing Club jetty, a new season high total of 93 Spoonbill were on the Brownsea Lagoon with a possible Little Stint there too. A Possible Water Pipit flew over the Carey Ringing Station and good numbers of Wigeon are starting to build in all the usual areas, despite the 26 degree heat. A few Yellow Wagtail were on Hartland Moor and a couple of White-tailed Eagles were over the Wareham Channel/Middlebere area.
