As winter moves on, we often see a rise in the number of harriers visiting, and although Hen Harrier have been rarer than hens teeth, a great tally of 22 Marsh Harrier were logged coming out of the west harbour roost this AM, where 20 Spoonbill were also see to fly in from the Swineham area, suggesting teh harbour flock had been feeding up the Frome Valley somewhere this AM/last night. At the PCW Drain a typical early winter count of c10 Common Chiffchaff were feeding along the channel with a Firecrest too. In Lytchett Bay this afternoon 2 Spoonbill were feeding and a Spotted Redshank was present and this morning a Great White Egret flew over there. This evening a whopping 229 Magpie went into roost at Hatch Pond.
