Incredibly windy today, in fact one of the windiest days for a long time. It seemed to keep some birds heads down but there was still plenty around. The Forster’s Tern was on the Brownsea Lagoon and was later logged off Shipstal Beach, RSPB Arne. At Swineham 2 Little Ringed Plover were on the Stilt Pools, the Pink-footed Goose and Little Gull were at Swinheham Point and 2-3 Marsh Harrier were floating around between the mouth of the River Piddle and Frome. On the Brownsea Lagoon c15 Avocet all looked very excitable, semi-courting and displaying, which is a good sign and a lone, single late dark-bellied Brent Goose remained. Male Osprey 022 caught a fish in the mouth of the River Piddle this morning and there were dawn Whimbrel at Lytchett Bay, Baiter and Holes Bay.
