Still plenty of winter birds around despite the recent summer-like weather with 511 Black-tailed Godwit in Holes Bay but only 2 Wigeon and 4 Pintail still hanging on. There were 2 Bar-tailed Godwit in Lytchett Bay. 3 Osprey were circling over the Wareham Channel this morning with further sightings at Middlebere, Morden Bog and over the Arne RSPB car park. 1 White-tailed Eagle, 1 Red Kite and 1 Peregrine were also seen flying over Arne. At Holme Lane Gravel Pit there was 1 Common Sandpiper, good numbers of Swallow and Sand Martin as well as 1 Marsh Harrier. The Pink-footed Goose is still sticking around at Swineham Point. The first Grasshopper Warbler of the year was reported singing at Ballard Down.
