Harbour Update – 06/06/2025

The 2023 Rutland female Osprey 3H9 has been seen again in the harbour. She’s been hanging around a few of the platforms near Middlebere. Fingers crossed that one of our 2023 males arrives back soon!

The 4 Poole Peregrine falcon chicks are growing fast with the parent birds dropping off food for the hungry chicks to devour themselves.

Elsewhere another Osprey sighting in Lytchett Bay where it was seen flying with a fish towards Holten Lee. 5 Crossbill over Brownsea Island and 2 late visiting Whimbrel and 2 Curlew also noted in Brands Bay.
