It was another perfect mix of icy chill and early spring warmth today, which saw a new Short-eared Owl arrive into the harbour with 2 out hunting on RSPB Arne Moors this afternoon, viewed distantly from Slepe Heath. There were 3 White-tailed Eagle in the Wareham Channel this morning and a Goshawk was also over Hydes Heath. Singles of Spotted Redshank were logged at Holes Bay and Lytchett Bay and there was a single Green Sandpiper and the 3 Ruff were still in the Lower Piddle Valley.
