Harbour Update – 01/11/25

It was mostly about the raptors today with 12 Marsh Harrier coming out of the West Harbour roost and 2 Merlin were out on Hartland Moor. This morning 3 different White-tailed Eagles were causing havoc around Swineham/Arne Moors, looking as if they were eying up the ever-growing Canada and Greylag Goose flock. There were also 2 Peregrine around Middlebere and the 2 adults and lingering juvenile male were all still on the Asda flats this morning. There were 2 Red Kite over Swineham this morning too. A Great White Egret was in Middlebere, a single Ruff was on the Lower Piddle Floods, 2 Spoonbill were in Holes Bay NE and 31 were on the Brownsea Lagoon. There were also 2 Spotted Redshank in Holes Bay NE.
