Let’s hope they may drop in locally, possibly somewhere in the Wareham Channel or Swineham? 3 Whimbrel were also in Holes Bay. 1 Lesser Whitethroat was singing at Lytchett Fields along the road to the waterworks and 4 Grey Plover were at Otter Point in the Bay. On Lytchett Fields itself there were 1 Ringed Plover, 1 Dunlin, 7 Greenshank, 3 Whimbrel, 1 Marsh Harrier and 187 Black-tailed Godwit moving between the Wareham Channel and Lytchett Bay. A 2nd calendar year Little Gull was still present, along with 2 Dark-bellied Brent Geese hanging around the tamerisk island. From the Avocet Hide at Middlebere there were 1 Whimbrel and 1 Greenshank. At Swineham from our Spring Safari this morning there were 3 Bearded Tit, 2 Little Ringed Plover and 2 White-tailed Eagle over Corfe.
