A quick stop off at one of my favourite vantage points this morning, Shipstal Point, Arne produced some nice birds. A female Long-tailed Duck was feeding with Goldeneye in Arne Bay. 3 Great Northern Diver were out on the open water along with 5 Black-necked Grebe, 20+ Great Crested grebe, 30+ Red-breasted Merganser, 15+ Goldeneye, 11 Pintail and 2 Seal. Down towards Middlebere a rising tide pushed up 200+ Avocet, Redshank, Black-tailed Godwit, 100+ Brent Geese, Shelduck, Oystercatcher a few Grey Plover, Curlew and Dunlin. 15 Spoonbill were roosting up out in front of the Shipstal hide and a Peregrine dashed over the farm.
