An interesting day that felt ‘rare’ with low cloud, and a light wind that swung round from the north. There are currently about 5 different White-tailed Eagles in the harbour that are coming and going between the Purbeck area and the harbour. There was a definite fall of Stonechat up on Ballard with 20+ along the top ridge, plus 30+ Common Chiffchaff, 2 Blackcap, 10+ Robin and 1 Woodlark over. In Middlebere there were 2 Curlew Sandpiper this evening with 26 Knot and an adult Yellow-legged Gull. Spoonbills were once again spread between Brownsea, Shipstal and Holes Bay north.
