A very autumnal scene welcomed us this morning with dark, cobalt sky’s and even some rain, with a building brisk SW breeze……at last! Just what we’ve been waiting for? Yes we need rain, and some moisture in the landscape, but are we ready for colder times just yet?
It didn’t seem to effect the birds with 6-7 Osprey in the harbour once again split mostly between Lytchett Bay, the Wareham Channel and Middlebere. Also in the Wareham Channel were 2 Great White Egret, 1 Spoonbill and 1 Marsh Harrier. The Brownsea Lagoon held 23 Spoonbill and 8 Avocet.
