Osprey Watch Point Mornings - Ham Common

Osprey Watch Point Mornings - We're happy to announce a new partnership project with the BCP Council environment team which will see us set up an Osprey watch point at Ham Common, Hamworthy on August 21st, 28th and Sept 4th, 8am - 12pm. We'll have one of our team set up with telescopes and some binoculars on hand to help look out for these amazing birds of prey as they set out on their morning fishing rounds. Mid to late August and early September are the best times to try and see Osprey in Poole Harbour especially out in the Wareham Channel, and as far as we're aware there's no where in the UK that offers this opportunity so close to such large conurbations such as Poole and Bournemouth, so why not pop down and spend time with our team in a search for 'the mullet hawk'. Our team will also be on hand to talk about our pioneering Osprey reintroduction project which seeks to restore a south coast breeding population of this well known icon of the bird world.

Location - Ham Common BCP car park, Rockley Holiday Park, BH14 4RW. The watch point will be at the far end of the long car park

Dates - Aug 21st, 28th & Sept 4th

Times - 8am - 12pm

Other info - If you have your own binoculars or telescopes please bring them with you.
