Dorset Discovery 2018 Tour Dates now available

Due to the huge success of our 2015-17 tour program we're thrilled to announce the continuation of this project.

Over the course of the year, our tours saw us visit some of the best sites Dorset has to offer, with a special focus on the incredible wildlife, tranquility and beauty of Poole Harbour.  Each of our tours saw our guests being introduced to a whole range of Dorset bird, reptile, amphibian and insect specialties whilst gaining exclusive access to parts of RSPB reserves never before opened to the public.

The tours are season themed with the dates specially selected to visit sites at peak times for birds. Dorset caters well for a whole range of over-wintering, breeding and migrating birds and our new 2018 tour program is availble now.

Guest Comments

“I very much enjoyed the Spring Discovery trip, you were all so helpful and pleasant and fun to be with and, of course, your birding skills were second to none.  Finding, handling and showing us reptiles, identifying flying sea birds half way to the horizon, imitating particular birdsongs: it was all magical and I learnt a lot.  The body of knowledge that you have, individually and as a group, is most impressive”

“Without doubt the best thing about the tour was you guys - not just your superb knowledge but your enthusiasm and the way you considered every aspect of the tour, not just the birds (great catering, Tom)”

"Thank you for another great tour - it’s difficult to pinpoint highlights as it was all good but for me I think seeing and hearing the nightingales (a first for me) and seeing yellowhammers and lesser whitethroat were definitely on my highlights list

“People are the key to the success of these types of tours and you had an excellent team”

“You three guys made the holiday with you birdwatching expertise, allied to your specialist knowledge of the area.  You should be very proud of yourselves”

“Great that so much time spent birding rather than travelling. Fantastic locations often not accessible to the public”
